Built for checkers, not copied from chess
Checkers isn’t a simpler chess. Because jumps are forced, the game is full of shots: you give up a man on purpose so that your opponent has to jump, and their jump sets up a bigger one for you. Checky’s puzzles and tactics lessons are built around them.
The engine behind the bots and the reviews is Checky’s own, written from scratch for checkers. It knows the exact result of every position with five pieces or fewer, about 156 million of them, so it never misplays a simple ending. And the endgame track teaches the classic endings strong players know by heart, like First Position.
